Estonian printing house Print Best has been awarded the prestigious Gourmand Awards and the title “Best in the World” in the cookbook category. This is the first nomination for Estonia at the Gourmand Award. Print Best has been nominated for printing the book Mjödboken (published by Grenadine 2019, Sweden).

“We are delighted to have received this prestigious aw

ard. At Print Best we value the highest quality of print, so it is particula

rly pleasing to also be recognised by the profession,” says Kaarel Ausmees, Head of Sales of Print Best. Print Best is a printing house in Viljandi with decades of experience and the best equipment for full-service production of books and magazines. Print Best is recognized printing partner for publishers, advertising and print agencies all over Europe. “We are proud that Print Best and the cookbook Mjödboken has won the title “Best in the World” for its production quality. Print Best carries the values of the Association of Estonian Printing and Packaging Industry (AEPPI) excellently,” adds Katre Savi, Chief Executive of AEPPI.

For the first time since the founding of the awards in 1995, Gourmand released the list of the Best in the World winners before the Ceremony. At the time, when international travel is impossible, this is the way Gourmand brings some happiness to those who “cook with words”.

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards were founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau. The Gourmand Award has become the most prestigious and largest award in the culinary calendar and have been compared to the “Oscars” for film. The Gourmand Awards consist of a number of categories, in order to fully represent the diversity of food and drink publishing around the world.  Gourmand gives the awards in a very special Ceremony, that brings together every important person in the world of food and books.
